S.L.Y.O NEW YORK

January 17th, 2013 marks the first day of a new Chapter in the story of the Sri Lankan Youth Organization. Little over a year later, SLYO NY has evolved into far more than their eleven founding members.
They have organized a number of volunteer efforts including Vesak Lantern making at SS Cosmas & Damian Adult Home and Pathways to Success workshop organized to help students transitioning from high school to college, to name a few.
The proceeds of their second Summer Love will go to the rebuilding of the Kalaimahal Tamil Vidyala School in Gampola, Sri Lanka. SLYO NY aims to promote volunteerism and charitable acts in their local and international communities. However, this is only a secondary goal to our primary mission.
Through these acts of humanitarianism and kindness, SLYO NY achieves our goal of turning today’s youth into tomorrow’s leaders.
